Put water, butter and salt in a pot and bring to a boil.
Add flour and cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon for 2-3 minutes.
After the dough cools down, add the eggs one by one and beat with a mixer.
Drop walnut-sized pieces of dough on a lined baking sheet with space in between.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30-35 minutes until golden.
Prepare the cream by cooking milk, flour, sugar and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
Fill the baked puffs with cream and serve by pouring melted chocolate sauce over them.
Note. Do not open the oven door during the first 20 minutes of baking the choux pastry, otherwise they will not rise.
Adding eggs to hot dough or opening the oven door too early prevents the dough from rising properly.
You can store baked pastry shells in an airtight container in the freezer and warm them before serving.
